This morning I awoke earlier than I thought with a bit of a hangover from drinking too much Scotch (I upgraded myself to first class, so why not take full advantage?), but still made my 8 AM PST business call and caught the bus to BioBarCamp, arriving just before 10 AM.
I am pretty tired tonight, so I’ll just post a few pictures I took today. Set-up from 10 until 1:30, Camp, dinner at 6 and then a much longer bus ride home. It seems that the “Express” route stops at about 7 PM. Much different crowd, too. I didn’t take any pictures, but the late night El Camino bus trip crew (nearly an hour covering only 14 miles) was a lot more Urban than the people on board at 9 AM.
And it was nice finally meeting all the organizers: Attila, John Cumbers, Jamie McQuay, Shirley Wu and Mackenzie. There were a couple of geezers there like myself, but mostly a bunch of Grad students. The Camp site (IFTF), is right across they way form Stanford in downtown Palo Alto, so a lot of Stanford and Cal guys in the mix.
Just couple photos to share . Set-up through dinner:
