Rumor Mill
The intent of this page is obvious. I refuse to post a thread to start, so someone else has to jump in here.
Please leave a comment with a rumor, it must be related to biotech in Frederick County or I will reserve my write to edit it out of the mix. Also, avoid using names or being nasty. Not interested in ruining anyone’s marriage here!

Rumor has it that The Regeneration Station (http://regeneration-station.com) is moving to the Frederick area. If the next BioBeers is after March 3, it is possible that the author will show up (if his wife let’s him and he can find the place). It is possible that he accepted a position at Lonza… anyone else hear anything?

This spot is reserved for rumors. Since it sounds like you have already accepted a position, this would not be a rumor.
If you’d like, I can try to dig up something on your new boss and post it here. That would give you some leverage in your first few weeks. Just kidding. I am doing some consulting work with Lonza at the moment myself. I hope to run into you there.
Did you use my Job Board, per chance, to find this position?

Re: MedI buildout. I heard that MedI Frederick is adding 250 employees (but maybe that’s the cummulative number)

I have heard similar rumors. From what I can tell, the primary focus is on R&D additions, which means most of the “labor pool” would be heading to Rockville or the UK & California R&D centers.
