Who's following Life Technologies Corp.'s request for County subsidy to expand operations in Frederick? Can $25,000 REALLY produce 50 jobs? Do they need it? Are they really going to leave Frederick if they don't get $25,000?

Jim-- this is a good resource. I'm giving a talk next week to some grad students at Hopkins about how to research companies. Mind if I put in a link to your blog?

Christian,

I guess I should have MedImmune on the list, to be consistent. Technically, MedImmune is a Montgomery County company with a Manufacturing facility in Fred. Co., but I have Lonza & Invitrogen on the list and they are not HQ'd in Frederick County either.

I guess I should have said MedImmune is technically now Astra Zeneca, a UK company with Swedish roots. We will have to give them credit for their Frederick County connection. I'll fix it momentarily.
